One of its main assets is its location. It's near town and it's accessible to a lot of services. I have been very satisfied here and glad I came here. We are able to have small pets here, and that's nice.

It has enjoyed a very good reputation locally here in Lexington. It draws a nice group of residents for the most part. I think if you come in with a good attitude and realize that communal living isn't something you have done since college or army days.

Bring your own food. I've been told by other people there that the food was much better before covid. The biggest problem I have with The Lafayette is the quality and consistency of the food.

The staff is amazing. The food is good. There are plenty of activities to do. Jana Angel, the Resident Services Director, is the reason the staff is amazing. She is right on top of everything. She never stops, and you can tell she loves her job and her employees.

It is a really good, safe place for your loved one. I feel like it's secure. They do have activities and transportation to outings and doctor appointments. They take them out on drives in the country or to church. So they still have their independence, but it's still a secure place.

I've told many people to call. We're working on a referral program right now, because we're right in the middle of all kinds of healthcare which is very helpful. There is no other community with this kind of location. Any of the healthcare services around us can get here within 2-3 minutes.

I've been living by myself for many years so compared to that, I think what I did was better. Considering this includes room and board along with trips to the pharmacy and grocery store, it seems better. Financially, it is better. If I had to pay for someone to be with me 24hrs/day, it would be exceedingly expensive. We have the security of having someone readily accessible here.

The only staff that makes me feel comfortable are the ones at the front desk. I never see the people in the office. They don't offer as many activities or allow people to visit during meal time since COVID hit. They've really isolated the community.

The building is old and needs repair. It is probably a good place to be. I like it because I feel safe. It is secure. There are a lot of residents. There is a variety in how far along we are aging, and our limitations. There are some that are very active and friendly, and there are those who are very frail and weak. That is okay. Most are nice. By and large, they are a fun group of people.

I would definitely recommend. This place is great. My mother complains about the food, but I think she would complain about it anywhere. I would like to move there! I would not mind living there now. The staff is very great. I have always had good experiences with them. The community has a level of independence for residents. It has flexibility because people can live there who still drive. They still have some independence. It is a pretty place.

It is secure. It is well-kept and maintained. It feels more like a private club instead of a senior living community. They all try to make each residents feel important. It does not feel like an old-folks home. it is a very nice facility. I need to reserve my room there. The staff is friendly, and there is a variety of activities. There are always things going on. They take groups out for lunch and shopping. They also offer them transportation to doctor's appointments.

You are crazy if you do not go here. You need to check the place out, and speak with Jennifer to tour the place. Check out the rooms and activities. They are in constant communication with me. It is a very clean facility, and they always check up on my father.

The director at the community is fantastic and the staff are overall very hardworking. If you are an individual who likes group living and you have friends at the community that you can do things with, it might work out well, but group living isn't for everyone. Although the food at the community is average, as far as independent communities go, the Lafeyette is one of the better ones I have seen and visited.

Everyone is friendly. The food could be better, but the people are just great. I needed to ave a shower head put in for my sister, and they were there right away. They check on her to make sure that she is okay. The cost is reasonable.
